Cindia Randall
Program Director & Lead Teacher
I adore working with toddlers; this wondrous age when children see the magic and joy in the simple things, yet
are beginning to think logically. I have a passion for art, literature and nature that I eagerly share with the
children. I view myself, along with the children, their parents and my colleagues, as a partner in learning.
My philosophy is based on the belief that children learn through play. I strive to create an environment that
fosters curiosity, creativity and fun.
I have over 15 years of dedicated experience in the field of Early Childhood Education. I received my ECE
accreditation through the Community College of Vermont, and am CPR and First Aid certified. I am a member of the
NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) and the ACEI (Association for Childhood Education
International).
I have been married for 27 years to my husband, Tom, and have two grown sons, along with a stepdaughter and four
step-grandchildren. I love great music, great books, a good fire, serene outdoor spaces and spending time with
my family!
I look forward to getting to know your children as individuals and watching them grow and develop socially
throughout the TMO year!

Head Teacher
I have known since I was rather young that I loved working with children. I have a Bachelors of Music in
Music Therapy, and spent the beginning of my career working with children and young adults with multiple
disabilities (developmental, physical and sensory) at a State School in Massachusetts.
I moved with my husband Steve to the Upper Valley in 1992. I spent the next 11+ years working in Nursing Homes
and Health Care Centers, as well as in private practice, specializing in folks with probable Alzheimer's Disease.
My heart was still with children. While working at Kendal at Hanover, I was fortunate to be able to incorporate
the facility day care in our daily programs- "Big Friends and Little Friends." We did a variety of activities
together, including music, art, bowling, and a favorite- having grown up Tea Parties! I finally decided that
after having two children (Annaka- now 11 and Meaggie- now 8), I really wanted to focus on working with children.
I worked at Purple Crayon Productions: An Art and Music Center for Children in Woodstock for about a year and a
half. While there I became a Music Together teacher, and along with being the assistant teacher for the art and
music programs, ran several Music Together classes as well. As Purple Crayon came to a close due to lack of
enrollment, I came upon TMO.
Outside of work, I love spending time with our children, amazed on a daily basis how they emerge into their "own"
little beings. We spend time making music, being outdoors, and just "creating" together. We also spend time
gardening together-- a favorite time to spend together. I am a Brownie Girl Scout leader for my
daughter's troop. I am also a Creative Memories Scrapbook consultant; I love photography and love recording our
family memories.
As a teacher, I so love watching children learn to "create" their own projects- it is so important at this stage
in a child's life to begin to use their imaginations, for if it is not fostered, it may never be, and that would
be sad for the child, and the world. This is also an important time to learn to play- it is the child's job at
this point in their life. If a child doesn't know how to play, then the adult that they become will not know the
joy of playing.

Linda Brown
Assistant Teacher - Blue Door Room
My first job was babysitting at age 12, taking care of two children in the summer months.
I was so proud to be able to help my mom buy my school clothes.
I have always loved being around children. I can be myself, act crazy and silly
when I want to, and they don't care. We can all laugh together; laughter is the best
medicine there is.
I have five grown sons, seven grandchildren and one dog. My husband died in 1985. In 1987, I
met a wonderful man, Dale, whom I have been with since. We enjoy life together
doing super things: traveling, gardening, going to fairs and cooking together. My
life is wonderful.
I waitressed for my husband's family for 17 1/2 years. The children and the elderly
were my favorite customers. After my husband's death, I wanted to do something different in my life.
I answered an ad in the newspaper to take care of an elderly lady. I worked for her for 6 1/2
years, until her death in 1993. Then, in 1993, I began working for a family in Norwich,
Vermont, with four girls until they moved away. I was known in Norwich as "Mary Poppins." Ha
ha! Where's my umbrella?
I now work for a family in Hanover, New Hampshire who have four children. I will continue
to work for them until I am no longer needed.
My life is blessed with children all around me. I will work to the best of my ability
to teach and care for your children at TMO. Remember, they are our sunshine!

Assistant Teacher - Red Door Room
I am very excited about my year with Toddler's Morning Out!
The staff is great, the families are all wonderful, and the children are terrific. I
am looking forward to a great 2008-09 school year.
I knew early on in my teenage years that I wanted to work with young children. I
have been a nanny for many families throughout the years in the Upper Valley
and, yes, kids do grow up and no longer need us watching over them as they did when
they were children. We can be there for support, questions and guidance in hopes
that they will make good choices for themselves, and we are on the sidelines cheering
them on throughout their lives.
I studied early childhood in school and am currently enrolled in classes with the
Child Care Project in Lebanon.
I have been married to my husband, Billy, for 7 years and we have a beautiful
8 year old daughter, Emily, who is in the 3rd grade. I grew up attending school in the Lebanon School
District and am very happy to know that our daughter is now attending the same
school that I once did.
When I have spare time and want to relax, I enjoy family, photography, art projects,
friends and scrapbooking. I also enjoy painting and working with my husband at our
business in Lebanon.
I love working with the kids at TMO and seeing how great the
experience is for the kids, their parents, and the teachers. I look
forward to the great adventures that await us!
